Laos to Cambodia

Cambodia, to the south of Laos, is gradually growing as a tourist destination. The last 500 years or so have been a difficult time for the nation, with numerous wars, and more recently the terrors of the Khmer Rouge. Despite this there are plenty of treasures still to enjoy, beginning of course with the amazing temple at Angkor Wat. There are plenty of other temples to explore, or some excellent beach destinations.

From Laos to Cambodia
There is a land border, so crossing over by road from the south of Laos is possible. The main border is from Voeung Kam in Laos to Dom Kralor in Cambodia, but only try this if you have plenty of time to spare. Alternatively you can fly directly with Laos Airlines. Flights leave 3 times a week from Luang Prabang to Siam Reap, or more regularly from Vientiane to either Siam Reap or Phnom Penh. Flights are also available from Pakse.
